The Nebraska Department of Transportation is seeking a Design Intern to join the Right of Way Division. This position offers students the opportunity to gain practical experience in project development and design within a government setting.
What you'll do#
- Assist Right of Way Designers with project development.
- Complete right-of-way design projects.
- Research existing project files and manage archiving tasks.
- Interpret right-of-way plan sheets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a three-fourths time student in good standing.
- Major in Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Graphic Design, or Urban Planning.
- Coursework in CAD, GIS, or surveying.
- Experience with CAD and GIS software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Access.
- Basic knowledge of MicroStation or CAD software.
- Ability to work at least 10 hours per week during the academic session.
