About the role#
This is a casual, PRN position at Methodist Fremont Hospital. You will perform limited diagnostic radiographic procedures under the supervision of a Nebraska licensed Medical Radiographer. This role operates on an as-needed basis, and your schedule may vary from week to week. Availability to work weekends and holidays is required.
What you'll do#
- Perform limited diagnostic radiographic procedures within the scope of your license. This excludes CT, administration of contrast media, fluoroscopy, and mammography.
- Provide safe, knowledgeable, age-specific patient care in a holistic manner.
- Educate patients and respond to customer concerns.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient x-ray records and Quality Control processes.
- Contribute to positive financial performance and customer satisfaction through value-added activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at the senior level in a Radiologic Technology degree program.
- A valid Temporary Medical Radiographer (RAD.TEMP) or Limited Radiologic Technologist (RAD.LIM) license for the state of Nebraska.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is strongly preferred at the time of hire and required within three months of starting.
- Ability to perform medium work, including exerting up to 50 pounds of force.
