Student Rad Tech - Casual/PRN

About the role#

This is a casual/PRN position for a Student Rad Tech at Methodist Fremont Hospital. You will perform limited diagnostic radiographic procedures under the supervision of a Nebraska licensed Medical Radiographer registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). This role operates on an as-needed basis, and availability for weekends and holidays is required.

What you'll do#

• Perform limited diagnostic radiographic procedures within the scope of your license, excluding CT, fluoroscopy, mammography, and the administration of contrast media.
• Provide safe, age-specific patient care in a holistic manner.
• Educate patients and address customer concerns.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient x-ray records and Quality Control processes.
• Contribute to positive financial performance and customer satisfaction through value-added activities.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment at the senior level in a Radiologic Technology degree program.
• A valid Temporary Medical Radiographer (RAD.TEMP) or Limited Radiologic Technologist (RAD.LIM) license for the state of Nebraska.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is strongly preferred at the time of hire and required within three months of employment.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including exerting up to 50 pounds of force.
