About the role#
This is a non-paid clinical experience designed to supplement the requirements of an academic program. Placements are reviewed based on department and preceptor availability, as well as existing affiliation agreements with your academic institution.
What you'll do#
- Assist in clinical exercises for cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation.
- Support patients in their recovery process under supervision.
- Document patient progress and communicate findings with the medical team.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures during all clinical activities.
- Engage with patients to encourage active participation in rehabilitation programs.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an academic program related to exercise physiology, Kinesiology, Health Administration, Nursing, or a similar field.
- Availability to complete required clinical hours.
- Ability to follow departmental policies and guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and assist in a clinical setting.
