About the role#
NBC Sports Bay Area & California is hiring a Production Assistant Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This role supports the Content group with the planning and production of daily on-air and digital schedules. You will work directly with production teams to assist with news gathering, editing, and various marketing initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Screen and log games, press conferences, interviews, and taped programs for editing.
- Research for graphic boards and create on-air graphics.
- Assist ticker operators and Associate Producers in the edit rooms.
- Contribute to the production of pregame and postgame programming.
- Prepare, copy, and distribute scripts and programming information.
- Procure footage from external sources.
- Support network operations with additional production and marketing tasks.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited degree-granting program with a sophomore standing or above (30 credits).
- You must not be a Spring 2027 graduate.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Intermediate media production experience from college programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Knowledge of Bay Area sports such as baseball, basketball, football, and hockey.
- Strong interest in web, mobile, social media, and television.
- Excellent verbal, written, and creative skills with strong organizational habits.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish are strongly preferred.
- You must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Location: San Francisco, California.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 16 to 24 hours per week from June 7 through August 13, 2027.
- Compensation: $19.61 per hour.
