Research Intern

About the role#

The Research Intern assists in research studies and experiments under the supervision of laboratory staff. This role involves data collection, administrative support, and maintaining a functional laboratory environment. This is an unpaid, full-time, on-site position based in Columbus, Ohio, with a rolling term.

What you'll do#

• Support research studies and experiments through supervised laboratory analysis and data interpretation.
• Gather, analyze, and report on research data, including assisting in the preparation of research proposals.
• Manage laboratory supplies and equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition.
• Maintain a clean laboratory space and organized research records.
• Adhere to all established safety protocols and procedures.
• Perform administrative tasks as required to support research projects.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in high school or an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or doctorate program is preferred, with a focus on Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or Chemistry.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills to interact with diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with laboratory analysis and data interpretation.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional after-hours support.
