About the role#
The Anesthesiology Research Intern assists in the development and implementation of programs and projects that support the organization's strategic initiatives. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Columbus, Ohio. The role involves a mix of analytical tasks, project support, and administrative coordination.
What you'll do#
- Gather and analyze data to support department initiatives.
- Run pre-defined queries and format reports.
- Compile and build presentation materials for projects and data findings.
- Collaborate directly with your manager to provide recommendations for department improvements.
- Attend weekly group development sessions and participate in intern events.
- Apply system-level thinking and operational techniques to solve problems.
- Perform clerical and administrative tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in high school or an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or doctorate program.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to work effectively within teams and maintain professional composure in a dynamic environment.
- Strong logical and critical thinking skills with the ability to apply sound judgment.
- A positive presence and the ability to interact professionally with staff, vendors, consultants, and physicians.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Previous work experience in the medical field is preferred.

- Physical requirements include the ability to sit for long periods, perform repetitive hand and arm motions, and lift or carry up to 20 lbs occasionally.
