About the role#
Northside Animal Hospital offers an externship for veterinary technician students. You will observe daily operations and gain hands-on technical experience. You will work alongside veterinarians and credentialed technicians to refine your skills in a clinical environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist with patient restraint and collect patient histories.
- Support physical exams and perform laboratory procedures.
- Assist with diagnostic imaging and monitor anesthesia.
- Perform dentistry procedures.
- Observe or assist with surgical cases.
- Provide patient care and administer treatments.
- Assist with hospital workflow.
- Strengthen communication skills by interacting with the medical team and clients.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently enrolled as a veterinary technician student.
