This internship provides an opportunity for an Electrical Engineering student to gain hands-on experience by supporting Product Engineers in a professional business environment. The role requires a commitment of 20-40 hours per week during the summer of 2026, with the potential to extend beyond the summer period with reduced hours.
What you'll do#
- Support electrical characterization for change qualification, yield analysis, and failure analysis.
- Conduct experiments to study product performance and analyze test data to identify performance issues or verify marketing requirements.
- Perform data review and assist in the disposition of production lots.
- Analyze data to assess process capability and identify yield enhancement opportunities.
- Develop tools and procedures to improve the efficiency of routine tasks and analysis, including modifying existing software and ad hoc scripting.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore or higher in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program for Electrical Engineering or Computer Systems Engineering.
- Foundational knowledge of electrical engineering theories and the functions of electrical elements in simple circuit operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work as a self-starter with minimal supervision.
- Experience with programming languages (such as VBA, VBScript, C, JSL, MATLAB, Batch, PowerShell, Java, or Python) is preferred.
- Familiarity with lab measurement equipment like VNAs and oscilloscopes is preferred.
