As a Characterization Engineering Intern, you will support the validation and characterization of leading-edge RF Integrated Circuits. You will work within an NPI RF lab environment, gaining exposure to the full product lifecycle from reviewing customer specifications to final data processing and reporting.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the lead Characterization engineer to define, measure, analyze, and document product performance.
- Support the system integration of hardware and software.
- Implement measurement processes aligned with product specifications.
- Automate data collection and processing to generate reports that meet design validation and characterization requirements.
- Provide periodic status updates to internal customers and management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (preferably having completed 3+ years of study).
- Solid understanding of basic circuit theory and RF concepts related to design or measurement.
- Familiarity with analog and digital circuit test and measurement methodologies.
- Proficiency with lab equipment, including power supplies, oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and spectrum analyzers.
- Understanding of filtering and mixing in the context of spectrum analysis.
- Demonstrated experience with at least one programming language such as Python, LabVIEW, Matlab, or C/C++.

- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: $25.63 - $48.60 per hour.
- Note: This position is paid, and the selected candidate will be employed through a third-party staffing agency.
