About the role#
The Roots Internship Program is a full-time, paid summer opportunity based in Omaha. You will rotate through three business units: Garden + Home, Farms, and Landscape. This structure helps you understand how a horticulture degree applies to different parts of our operations. At the end of the summer, you will present what you have learned to our leadership team.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through Garden + Home to learn about store experience, plant maintenance, and the pro process.
- Spend time with our Farms team to study proper watering, product availability, and production plans.
- Work within the Landscape unit to learn about property enhancement and onboarding new clients.
- Create and deliver a capstone presentation on your experiences.
- Contribute to the company's growth and its connection with the community.
What you'll need#
- You are a horticulture student entering your junior year.
- You believe in making the community a more beautiful place.
- You are a reliable person who maintains a positive attendance record.
- You communicate well and are willing to jump in to assist with various tasks.
- You can bend, lift, and work at an active pace.
- You have a passion for growing a career in concert with the natural world.
