About the role#
Move For Hunger is looking for an intern to assist with non-profit administration, development, marketing, and event planning. This role offers exposure to the daily operations of a hunger-relief organization. You will work 2 to 3 days per week, with a minimum commitment of 14 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Plan and facilitate food drives and fundraisers.
- Support recruitment efforts to grow the network.
- Manage data entry for member retention and engagement.
- Build and promote fundraising campaigns.
- Research trends in hunger relief and food waste.
- Write content for social media and the website.
- Assist with local events and volunteer recruitment.
- Handle high-volume email and telephone communication with members.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a college or graduate student, or status as a recent graduate or career changer.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- An outgoing personality and interpersonal skills.
- A desire to make a difference in the community.
Location & details#
This is a remote, unpaid volunteer internship. The role is based out of Red Bank, New Jersey, and applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Founded in 2009, the group partners with moving companies and corporate housing providers to collect surplus food during relocations.
