About the role#
Motor Coach Industries is seeking Mechanical and Electrical Engineering students for a full-time internship during the Summer 2027 term. You will work within our manufacturing engineering department to support product design, technical analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers hands-on experience in a transportation manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering, manufacturing, and continuous improvement projects.
- Work with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges and support production activities.
- Use CAD software to develop and refine designs.
- Assist in the creation and release of engineering drawings and documentation.
- Perform engineering calculations and research to support design decisions.
- Prepare for and support testing activities, including data collection and analysis.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and contribute to innovation, quality, and sustainability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a recognized post-secondary Mechanical or Electrical Engineering program.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and continuous learning.
- Experience with CAD platforms like Siemens NX or AutoCAD is an asset.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, labs, or other engineering roles is an asset.

- Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
