About the role#
As an MBA Summer Associate for Capital & Ventures, you will work alongside senior leadership to evaluate new investment opportunities, support strategic transactions, and drive value creation across the Momentum portfolio. This internship provides direct exposure to the strategic and financial decisions that shape the business, offering opportunities to contribute to market analyses, acquisition assessments, and investment recommendations.
What you'll do#
- Conduct industry, market, and competitive research to identify investment opportunities and emerging trends.
- Build and maintain market intelligence, deal pipeline trackers, and investment research to support strategic decision-making.
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify growth opportunities and investment risks.
- Support due diligence efforts by coordinating research, organizing documentation, and synthesizing findings for senior leadership.
- Develop business cases, investment memoranda, and executive presentations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Finance, Strategy & Operations, and portfolio companies to evaluate strategic initiatives.
- Identify process inefficiencies in deal sourcing, diligence, and reporting to drive improvements.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a full-time MBA program with an expected graduation date between Winter 2027 and Spring 2028.
- A GPA of 3.5 or above.
- Approximately 2-4 years of work experience in a related field such as management consulting, corporate development, private equity, venture capital, or strategic finance.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, executive-ready presentations and recommendations.
- Strong analytical skills, including financial modeling, business case development, and familiarity with valuation methodologies.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Intellectual curiosity and comfort solving ambiguous business problems using structured thinking.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship taking place in Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in Dallas, Texas, five days per week.
