About the role#
This is a front-facing position at the Rome Campus library. You will work directly with patrons and assist library staff with daily operations. This is a paid, part-time position available for the Fall 2026 semester.
What you'll do#
- Greet and direct patrons as they enter the library.
- Answer basic questions and help visitors navigate the space.
- Monitor the library for messes or disruptions.
- Keep collections tidy and organized.
- Open and close the lab and study areas.
- Check and refill printers, staplers, and other office supplies.
- Inform librarians about any problems that occur.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Ability to greet and interact with library patrons.
- Ability to answer basic questions.
- Ability to monitor the library space for messes or disruption.
- Availability to assist staff and librarians.
- Students majoring in History, English, Communications, Media Studies, or Philosophy are encouraged to apply.
