About the role#
As an SSD Firmware Intern, you will work with experienced engineers to develop, test, and optimize firmware for our storage products. This role offers hands-on experience in embedded systems, firmware development, and AI-assisted engineering workflows. You will contribute to the performance, reliability, and scalability of our next-generation storage solutions.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with firmware engineers to develop, test, and enhance SSD firmware functionality.
- Debug and resolve firmware issues to improve product performance and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain software quality and development standards.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate firmware features and support product qualification.
- Document firmware features, technical enhancements, and internal information.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
- Basic understanding of embedded systems, firmware development, and debugging principles.
- Familiarity with generative AI coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or GitHub Copilot.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of SSD technology, NAND flash, or storage architectures is preferred.
- Experience with Python, Git, and JIRA is preferred.
