About the role#
As a Category Supplier Management Intern, you will support category management and strategic sourcing initiatives. You will gain hands-on experience in cost analysis, supplier management, strategy development, and AI-enabled process improvements. You will partner with procurement professionals and business partners worldwide.
What you'll do#
- Support category management and strategic sourcing through market research, supplier analysis, benchmarking, and strategy development.
- Assist with cost analysis, should-cost modeling, and market intelligence to identify savings and support business decisions.
- Collaborate with Category Managers, suppliers, and internal partners to support procurement objectives and supplier relationship management.
- Analyze sourcing trends, supplier performance, and procurement metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Support AI adoption by identifying use cases, developing training resources, tracking metrics, and promoting responsible use of AI-enabled solutions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date after August 2027.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience through internships, co-ops, research, academic projects, leadership, or professional work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other business productivity tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated interest in AI tools, including generative AI and large language models.
- Preferred: Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Python.
- Preferred: Knowledge of procurement, category management, or supply chain concepts.
