About the role#
Michigan Automotive Compressor, Inc. (MACI) is hiring Engineering Interns for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site in Parma, Michigan, within our Quality, Die Cast, or Production departments. This is a full-time, paid position running from late May through mid-August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Analyze production and manufacturing processes to gain hands-on experience.
- Identify and implement changes to improve safety, quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot product problems related to design, materials, or manufacturing processes.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program for Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug and background screenings.
- Interest or experience in process improvement within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with industrial automation, Auto CAD, SolidWorks, PLC, CNC, robotics, SPS, or machine operation.
- Previous internship or automotive experience is a plus.

- Location: Parma, Michigan.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM EST.
- Work Modality: On-site.
