About the role#
Meyer Najem offers a full-time internship for Summer 2027 based in Jacksonville, Florida. You will work on-site to learn from our project management and field operations teams. We treat interns like full-time employees to provide real-world experience. You will complete a summer project and present it to senior leadership at the end of your term.
What you'll do#
- Learn to read plans and understand contract documents.
- Familiarize yourself with project specifications.
- Understand how scopes of work are assigned to subcontractors and vendors.
- Work with in-house software programs.
- Set up schedules for construction projects.
- Collect submittals from subcontractors and review them before sending them to the architect.
- Perform safety audits with the VP of Safety and Compliance.
- Develop your communication skills.
What you'll need#
- A college degree in Building Construction Management Technology or Construction Engineering Management is preferred.
- Knowledge of building materials and installation methods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- 10-Hour OSHA Construction Training.
