About the role#
Memorial Health Ohio is hiring a Pharmacy Intern for a part-time position in Marysville. This is an on-site role that follows a rolling term schedule.
What you'll do#
- Help the pharmacist prepare drugs for dispensing, including product selection, labeling, and compounding.
- Maintain accurate computer profiles for patients receiving medications.
- Prepare drugs for automated dispensing and restock equipment.
- Monitor automated dispensing equipment to ensure it stays in good working order.
- Prepare intravenous admixtures and sterile products, such as chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition, under pharmacist supervision.
- Manage drug stock by rotating items, organizing storage, and documenting orders.
- Ensure all drug items are billed correctly to patients or hospital areas.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Current licensure as a Pharmacy Intern with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy, which you must maintain throughout your employment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work well within a group environment.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association is recommended.
