About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work within the Institute of Foundation Models. You will join a team focused on building, understanding, and managing risks associated with foundation models. This position is a full-time, paid role based on-site in Sunnyvale, California, for the Summer 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Collect, prepare, and process training and validation datasets.
- Assist in designing and tweaking model architectures.
- Implement testing frameworks to assess model performance.
- Analyze model outputs for accuracy and bias.
- Participate in the review and refinement of AI algorithms.
- Document findings and procedures to support team collaboration.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing or have recently completed a Master's or Ph.D. degree.
- Your academic background is in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics.
