About the role#
Matrix Service Company offers a summer internship program designed to provide practical experience to university students. This 10-week, full-time position exposes interns to various roles within an engineering, procurement, and construction business. You will work in the energy and cryogenic liquids markets, helping to update standards and support bids and contracts under the guidance of practicing engineers.
What you'll do#
- Support the company safety commitment and core values.
- Maintain high moral standards and follow the code of business conduct.
- Participate in on-the-job training and assist engineering staff with daily assignments.
- Perform basic engineering tasks, including reviewing technical documents, developing sketches, and checking design calculations.
- Complete a capstone project.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, or Chemical Engineering.
- Completion of at least four semesters of coursework.
- A GPA of 3.0 or greater.
- Proficiency in Excel and MS Word.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well within a team and a proactive approach to researching and proposing solutions.
- High motivation and curiosity.
