About the role#
Matrix Design Group is hiring for a Water Resources internship during the Winter 2027 term. This is a 10-week paid program that provides exposure to the principles of civil engineering and water resources within a multidisciplinary firm. You will work directly with a manager or director on various projects to gain experience with tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3-D, Bluebeam, and ArcGIS.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate on various projects across the firm.
- Work alongside a manager or director to support project goals.
- Participate in planning, design, and field work to gain practical experience.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program related to Civil Engineering, GIS, Water Resources and Watershed Sciences, Ecological Services, Construction Management, Planning, Environmental Services, or Landscape Architecture.
- Current status as a Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program, or enrollment in a Master’s or PhD program.
- Strong motivation, clear communication skills, and the ability to solve problems.

- Locations: Colorado Springs, CO and Denver, CO.
- Modality: On-site.
- Status: Full-time.
- Compensation: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour, depending on experience.
