About the role#
This co-op program provides exposure to key actuarial disciplines, including pricing, valuation, modeling, risk management, asset liability management, and experience analytics. You will work within a professional environment to develop technical and business skills while collaborating with established actuaries. The program includes mentorship, exam study support, and access to a professional network.
What you'll do#
- Work alongside actuarial professionals to gain insights into industry standards and practices.
- Build a professional network within a large actuarial employer.
- Attend guest speaker presentations on topics such as AXIS modeling, actuarial functions, and exam study tips.
- Develop technical and soft skills through participation in team presentations.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a university degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- Fully bilingual in French and English, as you will support clients across various jurisdictions.
- Working knowledge of Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership in past roles or extracurricular activities.
- Experience with AXIS or other actuarial software and progress toward FSA/FCIA designations are considered assets.
