About the role#
As an Industrial Engineering Intern, you will support the Continuous Improvement department by analyzing operational processes. You will help identify inefficiencies and support projects that streamline workflows. This role involves hands-on data collection and process analysis to help the team improve overall efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate internal processes to determine the current state.
- Perform time studies, value-added analysis, and create spaghetti diagrams.
- Conduct waste hunts, Yamazumi analysis, and theoretical headcount determinations.
- Collect and compile data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Write standard work documents and SOPs.
- Assist the team in testing new methods and determining the best course of action.
- Maintain 5S standards and follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Industrial Engineering or a related field, with junior or senior standing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Experience with AutoCAD or Solidworks.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and common tools.
- Familiarity with electronic test equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail.
- Mechanical inclination and a strong work ethic.
