Leasing Intern

About the role#

As a Leasing Intern at Mac Properties, you will provide administrative support to the Leasing Management Team. This role focuses on maximizing efficiency for Leasing Consultants, helping them manage their schedules, meet lease submission deadlines, and maintain organized operations.

What you'll do#

• Conduct application screenings in compliance with National, State, and Local Fair Housing Laws.
• Perform Checkpoint ID verification and collect proof of income.
• Facilitate apartment reshows and manage key pickups and drop-offs.
• Prepare required paperwork for subsidy applicants.
• Maintain and organize files and correspondence.
• Ensure prospective leases and subsidy applications are submitted by established deadlines.
• Reschedule showing appointments and manage calendars for Senior Consultants to avoid conflicts.

What you'll need#

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong listening abilities.
• Superior attention to detail and high level of organization.
• Ability to work in a high-paced environment and think innovatively to solve problems.
• Previous experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms is a plus.
• Must be a team player who demonstrates flexibility and reliability.
• A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are required.
• Ability to walk apartments and grounds, including climbing stairs.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.

• Location: Kansas City, Missouri.
• Modality: On-site.
• Compensation: $18 per hour.
• Employment Type: Part-time, rolling term.
• Requirements: Must successfully complete a criminal background investigation and drug screening prior to employment. Applicants must provide proof of identity and legal authority to work in the United States.
