About the role#
LPL Solar LLC is hiring interns for site-based work on utility-scale solar projects. This is a full-time, paid position that provides hands-on experience in self-perform construction. You will work directly with project managers and field teams to build large-scale energy infrastructure.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the jobsite and safety team to develop and maintain the project safety program.
- Act as a mentor and model to influence the local safety culture.
- Manage document control, internal and external reporting, and equipment assets.
- Participate in field operations including pile driving, racking erection, module installation, wire management, and production tracking.
- Monitor and document SWPPP compliance and perform QA/QC tasks.
- Develop solutions for field-based challenges.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Environmental Engineering degree program, graduating by August 2026.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A self-starter attitude with a willingness to participate in all aspects of the project.
- Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts in outdoor conditions, including temperature extremes, cramped workspaces, and awkward positions.

- Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
- Term: 12-week commitment from May 20, 2024, to August 9, 2024.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Hours: 40 hours per week with potential for overtime.
