This is a full-time, paid internship focused on utility-scale solar construction. You will be based on-site, gaining direct experience with self-perform construction methods while working alongside industry experts on large-scale projects.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the jobsite and safety teams to develop, implement, and maintain project safety programs.
- Act as a mentor and model to influence a strong safety culture.
- Manage document control, internal and external reporting, and asset management for materials and equipment.
- Develop solutions for field-based challenges and document SWPPP compliance.
- Participate in self-perform crew activities, including pile driving, racking erection, module installation, wire management, and QA/QC production tracking.
- Work in a construction site environment, which may include 12-hour shifts in varying temperature extremes, cramped workspaces, and physically demanding tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Environmental Engineering, graduating no later than August 2026.
- Ability to commit to a 12-week schedule from May 20, 2024, to August 9, 2024.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A self-starter attitude with a willingness to participate and contribute to field operations.
