About the role#
This position offers practical, real-world training for students in a community pharmacy setting. The role is designed to prepare future pharmacists for success by exposing them to the daily operations and clinical responsibilities of a retail pharmacy environment.
What you'll do#
- Gain exposure to pharmacy practice within a community setting.
- Learn the operational skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy.
- Enhance knowledge of over-the-counter (OTC) products, disease state management, and drug therapy.
- Develop patient counseling skills, including performing MEDSCHECK assessments under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Improve communication skills while interacting with patients, pharmacy staff, and other health care professionals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant academic program, such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
- A commitment to learning the expanding roles of community pharmacists.
- Candidates must be 18 years or older to be eligible for this position.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.

- Location: 85 Steeles Ave W, Brampton, ON.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time, day shifts.
- Compensation: $18.60 - $19.55 per hour. This is a unionized position with pay rates defined by the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
