About the role#
This position offers practical experience for students pursuing a career in pharmacy. Working within a community pharmacy setting, you will gain real-world training to complement your academic studies and learn about the evolving responsibilities of community pharmacists.
What you'll do#
- Gain exposure to the daily practice of pharmacy in a community environment.
- Learn the operational skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy.
- Develop patient counseling skills, including performing MEDSCHECK services under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Enhance your knowledge of over-the-counter (OTC) products, disease state management, and drug therapy.
- Improve communication skills while interacting with patients, pharmacy staff, and other health care professionals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant program, such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
- A commitment to preparing for a successful career in a community pharmacy setting.
- Candidates aged 18 or older must complete a criminal background check.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Part-time, paid position.
- Term: Rolling.
- Compensation: $18.60 - $19.55 per hour, as defined by the applicable collective bargaining agreement for this unionized role.
