About the role#
We are hiring a Pharmacy Student to join our team in Calgary. This is a part-time, on-site position. You will support pharmacy operations by managing automation, inventory, and prescription preparation.
What you'll do#
- Generate reports and manage workflow using HealthWatch software.
- Package medications into unit dose pouches using automation equipment.
- Perform machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory levels and place orders for specialty items.
- Assist with inventory pre-count preparation and support count vendors.
- Action drug recalls and secure alternative products.
- Prepare medication orders and packages for shipment.
- Use an automated process to package orders for nursing homes.
- Investigate and troubleshoot orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Label medication and over-the-counter products.
- Prepare medication blister packs and mixtures.
- Use Kroll software to prepare and label prescriptions.
What you'll need#
- Post-secondary education.
- Experience with HealthWatch software.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to make decisions independently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to maneuver quickly and consistently for extended periods.
- Adaptability to work in different departments as needed.
- Candidates 18 years or older must complete a criminal background check.
