About the role#
We are looking for a Pharmacy Student to join our team in Edmonton. This is a full-time position involving direct, on-site work within a retail pharmacy setting. You will support our pharmacy operations by managing automation workflows, maintaining inventory, and assisting with prescription preparation.
What you'll do#
- Generate automation reports using Healthwatch software.
- Package medications into unit dose pouches and perform machine maintenance or troubleshooting.
- Manage automation workflows to meet production targets.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory at pre-specified levels and place orders for supplies or specialty items.
- Assist with inventory count preparations and support count vendors.
- Action drug recalls and secure alternatives when necessary.
- Prepare medication orders for patients and nursing homes by following established step-by-step workflows.
- Label medication and over-the-counter products, and prepare blister packs and mixtures.
- Investigate and troubleshoot orders to ensure timely shipping.
What you'll need#
- Post-secondary education.
- Previous pharmacy experience with Long Term Care.
- Experience using Healthwatch software.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to problem solve and make independent decisions.
- Adaptability to support different departments as needed.
- Physical ability to manoeuvre quickly and consistently for extended periods.

- Location: 11541 Kingsway NW, Edmonton, AB.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Compensation: $20.90 - $28.60 per hour.
- Note: Candidates aged 18 or older must complete a criminal background check.
