About the role#
Loblaw Companies Limited is looking for a Pharmacy Student to join our team in North York. This is a part-time, on-site position that offers practical experience in a community pharmacy setting. You will work within a retail environment to learn about the expanding roles of community pharmacists.
What you'll do#
- Provide an exceptional shopping experience for pharmacy customers.
- Participate in the practice of pharmacy in a community setting.
- Enhance your communication skills by interacting with patients, employees, and other health care workers.
- Build your knowledge of OTC products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
- Perform MEDSCHECK services under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Learn the skills required to manage a retail pharmacy.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Pharmaceutical Sciences program.
- Candidates 18 years or older must complete a criminal background check.
Location & details#
- Location: 3501 Yonge St, North York, ON.
- Employment type: Part-time.
- Compensation: $18.60 to $19.55 per hour.
- This is a unionized position with pay rates set by the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
