About the role#
As an IT Intern, you will provide first-tier technical support for hardware and software across our corporate and store locations. You will act as the initial point of contact for help requests, documenting and resolving issues to keep our operations running smoothly. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role based in Smithton, Pennsylvania.
What you'll do#
- Receive, prioritize, and resolve technical help requests for computers, phones, and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot issues in person, over the phone, via email, or through remote tools and our ticketing system.
- Escalate incidents when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
- Perform repairs, upgrades, and patches for PCs, Macs, printers, and other equipment.
- Create and maintain user accounts, assist with password resets, and manage multi-factor authentication.
- Track the problem-solving process, test fixes, and follow up with users to confirm issues are resolved.
- Assist with software rollouts and communicate updates to end users.
- Analyze incident trends and notify management of recurring issues to help prevent future problems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
- A willingness to identify and learn the specific software and hardware systems used by the organization.
