About the role#
This accounting internship provides hands-on experience in a professional financial environment. You will support the accounting team with daily operations, internal controls, and cross-functional tasks. This position contributes to our organization's goals while you gain practical knowledge of accounting processes.
What you'll do#
- Reconcile daily collection and trust bank accounts.
- Monitor bank activity and cash balances while researching cash exceptions.
- Coordinate with Treasury, Loan Servicing, and Operations teams regarding cash movements.
- Prepare audit-ready documentation for cash postings and maintain workpapers for journal entries.
- Support bookkeeping activities and month-end or year-end close processes.
- Identify ways to improve reconciliation efficiency and document accounting procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard office software.
- Comfort working with high transaction volumes across multiple bank accounts.
- Experience with ERP or general ledger systems like NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Oracle is preferred.
- Experience with reconciliation software like ADRA is a plus.
