This is a paid, full-time internship/co-op position for the Fall 2026 term. You will work directly with lighting project managers to gain hands-on experience with commercial lighting systems. The program is designed to provide exposure to the full project lifecycle, from initial development to final implementation, with the goal of equipping you to deliver a complete LED lighting upgrade design.
What you'll do#
- Assist in all aspects of the project development phase, including site visits and building audits.
- Perform energy calculations related to lighting upgrades.
- Produce detailed construction documents using CAD for LED lighting upgrades.
- Support material procurement and construction management staff during the implementation phase.
- Field verify the proper installation and implementation of LED lighting upgrades.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BSEE, preferably as a sophomore or junior.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel for field work.
- CAD experience is helpful but not required.
