Construction Management Intern/Co-op

About the role#

Legence is seeking a Construction Management Intern or Co-op for the Fall 2026 term. This role provides hands-on experience in project coordination, construction management, and fieldwork within the commercial HVAC and mechanical systems industry. You will work alongside project teams to support the execution of construction projects from pre-construction through project closeout.

What you'll do#

• Review project drawings to identify scope, constructability, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Track contract requirements and Measurement & Verification (M&V) specifications.
• Assist with project scheduling and the coordination of subcontractors.
• Prepare weekly field reports to monitor site conditions and overall project progress.
• Compile and organize project closeout materials, including as-built documentation and O&M manuals.
• Support procurement processes, safety documentation, and meeting coordination.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Business Administration.
• A basic understanding of construction processes and mechanical or HVAC systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
