About the role#
Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is hiring a Traffic Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This role is based in our West Palm Beach office and offers exposure to transportation impact studies, traffic signal design, and master planning. You will work on a variety of projects, including parking studies and event management for large venues.
What you'll do#
- Perform traffic observations and data collection.
- Prepare technical reports, design plans, and project specifications.
- Assist with calculations for transportation projects.
- Observe construction activities.
- Complete other project tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, or Transportation Planning.
- Preference is given to students in their junior or senior year or those pursuing a Master's degree.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Familiarity with HCS, SYNCHRO, and the MUTCD is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, or SoftDesk software is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently or within a team.
