About the role#
Langan is seeking an Intern/Co-op for our Site/Civil Engineering team in Celina, Texas. This position offers exposure to land development projects through technical report preparation, site feasibility studies, and design support. You will work directly with industry leadership to gain professional experience during the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the planning, design, and permitting of infrastructure and land development projects.
- Prepare and modify engineering documents including reports, specifications, construction schedules, cost estimates, and design plans.
- Use engineering software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D to support project designs.
- Analyze soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical data using maps, drawings, and aerial photographs.
- Support zoning, ordinance, and permit assessments.
- Conduct sidewalk cost estimations and determine project feasibility based on data analysis.
- Provide field inspection services as needed.
- Apply engineering principles and advanced mathematics to project tasks.
- Collaborate with team members on various assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year or advanced degree program in Civil Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Willingness to travel based on business needs and project assignments.

- This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site in Celina, Texas.
- The term for this position is Summer 2027.
