About the role#
Langan is hiring a Site/Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work with our team in Fort Worth to support land development and infrastructure projects. This role involves site feasibility studies, field work, and technical documentation. You will partner with project leadership to gain hands-on experience in civil engineering design and planning.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering and land development projects.
- Prepare and modify engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and cost estimates.
- Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other engineering software to create design plans.
- Analyze soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical data using maps, drawings, and aerial photographs.
- Support zoning, ordinance, and permit assessments.
- Conduct sidewalk cost estimations and determine project feasibility based on data analysis.
- Provide field inspection services as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to complete project assignments.
What you'll need#
- You must be a student currently pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Civil Engineering.
- Preference is given to students in their junior or senior year or those pursuing a Master's degree.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
