About the role#
Langan is hiring a Site/Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term in Las Vegas. This role supports site feasibility studies, technical report preparation, and design documentation. You will work directly with project teams on land development and infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and modify engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and cost estimates.
- Use engineering software and equipment to complete design tasks.
- Analyze data from maps, drawings, tests, and aerial photographs to assess site conditions like soil composition, terrain, and hydrology.
- Support zoning, ordinance, and permit assessments.
- Conduct sidewalk cost estimations and determine project feasibility based on data analysis.
- Provide field inspection services when needed.
- Collaborate with team members to complete project assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year or advanced degree program in Civil Engineering.
- Preference for students in their Junior or Senior year or those pursuing a Master's degree.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
