About the role#
Langan is seeking a Site/Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term in San Antonio. This position offers hands-on experience in land development and infrastructure projects. You will work alongside industry professionals on site feasibility studies, technical reports, and design plans.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and modify engineering documents, including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and cost estimates.
- Use engineering software and equipment to complete project tasks.
- Assess site conditions by analyzing soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical data.
- Support zoning, ordinance, and permit assessments.
- Assist with sidewalk cost estimations and determine project feasibility based on data analysis.
- Provide field inspection services as needed.
- Apply engineering principles and advanced mathematics to project assignments.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year or advanced degree program in Civil Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Ability to travel based on business needs.

- This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site in San Antonio, Texas.
