About the role#
Langan is hiring a Site/Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will join our team in New York to support site feasibility studies, technical reporting, and design work. This role provides direct exposure to land development projects while you partner with industry leadership.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and modify engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and cost estimates.
- Use engineering software and equipment to analyze soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical data.
- Support zoning, ordinance, and permit assessments.
- Assist with sidewalk cost estimations and project feasibility analysis.
- Provide field inspection services when needed.
- Apply engineering principles and advanced mathematics to team assignments.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Civil Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, analyze data, and exercise good judgment.
- You work well both independently and as part of a team.

- Compensation: $25 to $32 per hour.
