About the role#
Langan is hiring a Site/Civil Engineer Intern for the Winter 2027 term in Cleveland, Ohio. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position. You will work directly with industry professionals on land development and infrastructure projects, gaining hands-on experience through technical report preparation, site feasibility studies, and design tasks.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering and land development projects.
- Prepare and modify engineering documents, including reports, specifications, construction schedules, and cost estimates.
- Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to create design plans.
- Analyze site data such as maps, drawings, aerial photographs, and topographical reports to determine project feasibility.
- Support zoning, ordinance, and permit assessments.
- Provide field inspection services as needed.
- Collaborate with team members on various project assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year or advanced degree program in Civil Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, analyze data, and exercise sound judgment.
- Capacity to work both independently and within a team.
