About the role#
Langan is hiring an intern for the Landscape Architecture & Planning studio in Houston for Summer 2027. You will assist with planning, design, and permitting for a variety of projects including urban revitalization, commercial developments, and campus design. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Assist the studio with planning, design, and permitting for landscape architecture, civil engineering, and infrastructure projects.
- Use design and engineering software to prepare plans, reports, specifications, construction schedules, and cost estimates.
- Assess zoning, ordinances, and permit requirements.
- Determine project feasibility by analyzing collected data.
- Evaluate how soil composition, terrain, hydrology, and geological data impact project designs.
- Perform other tasks as requested.
What you'll need#
- Currently working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
- Preference for students in their junior or senior year or those pursuing an MS degree.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Prior internship experience is desired.
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Sketchup, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel occasionally to other regional offices.
