About the role#
Langan is seeking an intern for our Landscape Architecture and Planning studio in Parsippany, New Jersey. This position is for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on a variety of projects, including urban revitalization, retail and commercial developments, school and university design, healthcare facilities, and brownfield redevelopment.
What you'll do#
- Assist the studio with planning, design, and permitting for landscape architecture, civil engineering, and infrastructure projects.
- Use design and engineering software to prepare landscape architecture and design documents.
- Help with zoning, ordinance, and permit assessments.
- Determine project feasibility based on data analysis.
- Prepare and modify reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and cost estimates.
- Assess terrain, soil composition, hydrological characteristics, and geologic data to inform project design.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
- Preference for students in their Junior or Senior year or pursuing an MS degree.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Prior internship experience is desired.
- Creativity and strong computer skills in Adobe Suite, Sketchup, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Parsippany, New Jersey.
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship.
- Travel may be required based on business needs and project assignments.
- Langan does not provide housing or relocation assistance for this role.
- Pay range: $24 to $31 per hour.
