About the role#
Langan is seeking an intern to join our Landscape Architecture studio in New Haven. You will work on planning, design, and permitting tasks for a variety of projects, including urban revitalization, commercial sites, and campus design. This is a paid, full-time position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the planning and design of landscape architecture, civil engineering, and infrastructure projects.
- Conduct assessments for zoning, ordinances, and permits.
- Help determine project feasibility by analyzing collected data.
- Prepare and modify design documents, including plans, reports, specifications, cost estimates, and construction schedules.
- Assess site conditions such as soil composition, terrain, hydrology, and topography.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Landscape Architecture.
- Preference is given to students in their junior or senior year or those pursuing an MS degree.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Prior internship experience is desired.
- Strong skills in Adobe Suite, Sketchup, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Excel.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel if required by project assignments.
- Submission of a resume and a work sample or portfolio.
