About the role#
Langan is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern or Co-op to join the team in Pittsburgh for the Fall 2026 term. This role supports site feasibility studies, technical report preparation, and design documentation. You will work directly with industry leadership on land development and infrastructure projects to expand your technical and professional experience.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and modify engineering documents, including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and cost estimates.
- Analyze soil composition, terrain, and project data using reports, maps, drawings, and aerial photographs.
- Provide field inspection services as needed.
- Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments.
- Apply engineering knowledge and mathematical techniques to support zoning and permit assessments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year or advanced degree program in Civil Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater is preferred.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Reliable transportation for job site visits and a valid driver license in good standing.
