About the role#
The Actuarial Internship for Kuvare Corporate Management offers experience across several areas, including Life and Annuity Valuation, Modeling and Forecasting, Pricing and Product Management, Asset Liability Management, and Enterprise Risk Management.
What you'll do#
Your daily activities will change depending on the specific function you support. Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and monitor monthly reserve trends for GAAP, statutory, and tax accounting.
- Develop management reporting for existing business and assist with Statutory Annual and Quarterly Statements.
- Update models, organize results, and help gather information for external auditor inspections.
- Produce and improve monthly business monitoring reports and analyze inforce experience trends.
- Assist in developing and analyzing annual Illustration Actuary testing models.
- Support special policy illustration requests and product-related projects.
- Build and review model inputs to support financial projections.
- Execute and monitor model projections, troubleshoot calculations, and verify output accuracy.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward or completion of a degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
- Success in passing at least one SOA or CAS exam is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, business, and collaboration skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- A flexible attitude and a willingness to learn new things and design solutions.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
