About the role#
As a Design Co-op, you will gain hands-on experience by working with senior designers and project leads. You will contribute to projects that shape brand experiences within the built environment. This role focuses on applying classroom skills to real-world design applications while learning how to execute visual concepts.
What you'll do#
- Research client brands and current design trends.
- Create initial design elements such as color palettes and graphic sketches.
- Learn about ADA and zoning regulations relevant to environmental graphic design.
- Prepare and organize design files for team reviews.
- Assist with production tasks like image sourcing, layout adjustments, and file management.
- Join internal meetings to observe client communication and practice articulating design concepts.
- Track and document your hours and tasks.
What you'll need#
- Working toward a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, environmental design, architecture, or a related field.
- A portfolio showing coursework or personal projects related to environmental graphic design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- A basic understanding of design principles like typography, color theory, and layout.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team.

- This position is based on-site in Cincinnati, Ohio.
- The term is Summer 2027.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
