About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern at Kognitos, you will work on real product problems. You will write production code, contribute to core systems, and help shape how we build software. You will work alongside experienced engineers to ship features and learn through active participation. This is a full-time, paid position for Fall 2026.
What you'll do#
- Build and ship features end-to-end with the engineering team.
- Use AI-native tooling like Claude and Cursor to speed up your development workflows.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Debug issues and improve system performance.
- Contribute to projects across AI, automation, and data systems.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong fundamentals in programming with languages such as Python or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Solid understanding of core computer science concepts including data structures, algorithms, and systems basics.
- Strong problem-solving ability and curiosity.
- Clear communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Bonus points if you have experience using AI coding tools, building projects with LLMs or APIs, or working with modern web stacks and cloud platforms.
