About the role#
The Kentucky College of Art + Design is hiring three Student Studio Monitors for the 849 Studio Building for the 2026-2027 academic year. This is a paid, part-time position that supports the safe and effective use of classrooms and shared studio spaces. You will act as the primary attendant during open studio hours to ensure the facility remains supervised and accessible.
What you'll do#
- Act as an engaged staff member to ensure safety in the 849 Studio Building.
- Serve as the facility studio attendant.
- Maintain the user information log for everyone using the building during your shift.
- Secure the facility at the end of each shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current, engaged student at the Kentucky College of Art + Design.
- Ability to perform the work as outlined in the role description.
- Ability to lift 30lbs.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

- Location: Louisville, Kentucky.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Term: August 3, 2026, to May 15, 2027.
- Hours: Up to 12 hours per week, with shifts available during evenings and weekends.
