About the role#
Kendall Hunt Publishing is looking for an HR Intern to join our team for the Summer 2027 term. This paid, full-time position offers hands-on experience in recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, and daily HR operations. You will support our team at our home office while developing professional skills in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Help plan and coordinate our annual Summer Internship Program.
- Manage internship documentation and maintain accurate employee records.
- Communicate with internship candidates and colleges during the recruitment process.
- Create and post job openings on LinkedIn and other recruiting platforms.
- Schedule interviews and assist with candidate communications.
- Support recruiting events, career fairs, and college outreach.
- Work with our Recruiter and Marketing team to create social media content.
- Assist with onboarding, orientation preparation, and new hire paperwork.
- Support offboarding processes and related documentation.
- Process and track Motor Vehicle Records and employee auto insurance documents.
- Prepare HR reports, spreadsheets, and other administrative documents.
- Help with employee engagement activities and HR projects.
- Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or completion of a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Communications.
- Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Resourceful mindset with a willingness to learn new processes.
- Collaborative and dependable attitude.
- Detail-oriented approach to record keeping.
- Valid driver's license.
- Previous HR or recruiting experience is helpful but not required.
